All trees should now be revealed! Please take the time to thank those who made you gifts. Also, please check your individual trees and not just AO3 in case someone has made art, graphics, fanmixes, etc for you that is not on AO3. Then go check out the AO3 Collection.

If there are any issues, like the comments on your tree are not unscreened, please message me.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, and those who made gifts you're awesome! And extra high-fives for everyone who filled in as pinch hitters for the needy trees, you're amazing, and you made the reveals possible.

Mod Post: Needy Trees Update, Reveals on Jan 17

We did it! All trees now have the minimum of two gifts! This means reveals will go ahead tomorrow, Jan 17, as scheduled. Reveals should be complete by 11:59pm UTC at the latest. In previous it is usually much earlier in the day than that, but I want to give myself enough time and not be rushed. If you still have gifts to give please continue to leave them under the trees until reveals. I know some people had mentioned that they might have late gifts, I will keep the Ao3 Collection open for six weeks after reveals for any late gifts. Thank you to everyone who created gifts, you're awesome, and fandomtrees wouldn't be a success without you!

Mod Post: Needy Trees Update

Hey everyone, here's another update on the needy trees. Everyone currently has at least one gift, also a few former needy trees now have two gifts, so yeah! However we still have 8 trees with only one girt and the minimum is two. I know a few of you have told me you are working on gifts, and I'm hoping not to delay again, so I'm going to wait til the morning of Jan 17 (EST) before making that decision, but if not everyone has two gifts by that point I will delay reveals again. Remember the minimum for fics is only 100 words for fic. The trees that still need gifts are listed below

Mod Post: Needy Trees Update and Reveals Delayed

Hey everyone, I thought I'd give an update on the needy trees. We currently have 9 trees with zero gifts and 20 trees with only one gift. The goal is for everyone to have two gifts. Since this doesn't look like it will happen in time for reveals on Jan 10th, I will be delaying reveals by one week til Jan 17. Thank you to everyone who has made gifts so far, and to everyone who has told me they are still working on gifts, you are every much appreciated.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give an update on the needy trees. We currently have 36 tree with zero gifts and 43 with only one gift. All people are asking for fic and art, but there are stills lots of trees asking for icons, fanmixes, podfic, etc. We're still shooting for a reveal date of Jan 10th, so share the list with your fannish fans, and let's see if we can get those trees filled! Thank you to everyone who has created gifts so far, you're very much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I hope you had a good holiday if you celebrated. I just thought I would give an update on the trees. We currently have 64 trees with zero gifts and 40 trees with only one gift. Remember the goal is for everyone to have two gifts before the reveals on Jan 10. Everyone is looking for fic and art, but we still have lots of needy trees asking for things like podfic, fanmixes, graphics, and icons. Also don't forget the trees that are tagged "any". So, if you can take a look or share it with your fannish friends that would be great! Thank you.

Mod Post: Masterlist

This is the 2025 fandomtrees masterlist to help you find all the trees that you can create gifts for. I have tried to tag the trees how the requester wanted them, however fandom franchises have been condensed to make tagging easier, some examples: all video game franchises will be under their umbrella titles, Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, etc, all Star Wars films, tv shows, etc are under the Star Wars tag, all the Marvel films and TV shows are under MCU, all Star Trek shows, films, etc are under one tag. All RPF is under one tag, including Actor RPF, Music RPF, Sports RPF, etc. The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and the Silmarillion are under the Tolkien tag. All danmeis will be combined with their adaptations, for example Mo Dao Zu Shi/The Untamed. So, please check the individual trees to see what the recipient is specifically requesting.

The graphics tag is for everything that is not icons, and may not be considered traditional art, like wallpapers, moodboards, picspams, gif sets, etc.

If you are posting fic to the AO3 collection (fandomtrees2025) please also leave a link in a comment on the recipient's tree, so that it is easier for your mod to keep track of who has and has not received a gift.

Please bookmark your own tree so you can find it at reveals and thank those who have so generously made you gifts, also share the link with your friends and mutuals so that they can put gifts under your tree. Be aware that last year nofications were not working at reveal time, this was an issue on Dreamwidth's end and I have no idea if it was ever fixed, so please bookmark your tree just to be on the safe side.
